Second Sacks is a 100% volunteer-run organization.  Our volunteers represent community leaders, churches, social organizations, and businesses.

They all share the same vision – feeding hungry children in our community.

sack stuffers

Teams of workers stuff sacks in our operations center twice each Monday, and pack the sacks into tote bags to transport to the schools later in the week.

delivery drivers

Using their personal vehicles, teams of workers pick up the tote bags on Thursday from our operations center and deliver directly to each school’s front office.

food pick up drivers

A team of workers meets at the vendor location to load purchased food, deliver to our operations center, and then unload the food.

LMS & LHS Drivers

A team of workers meets to load purchased food, and then delivers the cases directly to these two schools.

● Take Action

This group oversees legal, operations, and financial aspects of the organization. Board members manage volunteer and school scheduling, inventory purchasing and delivery, grant writing, fundraising, and accounting.
